Paste the “Resource.cfg” file into this folder. Step 3 Create the Mods folder: 1.Go to “The Sims 3″ root folder, create a new folder called “Mods“ 2. Now in Mods folder create another folder called “Packages“ If you have done everything correctly then it should look like below example. Best Answer: Its done the exact same way on a mac and on a PC. I know because I've played sims 3 on both types of computers. Just open up your finder and go to documents and then find the electronic arts folder. Inside that should be a sims 3 folder. Inside the sims 3 folder create a new folder and name it. Paste your Mods folder back into your Sims 4 folder and then sort your files by Date Modified. Delete the most recent mod/CC and restart your game, play for a few minutes and see if your game works. If so, you've found the problem mod. On MAC is pretty similar. Create a new folder and call it Mods. Keep Resource.cfg from your desktop and insert it on this new folder (My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods) Note for MAC. Resource.cfg file is the same and both the folder where insert it is the same. Edit Resource.cfg. Where are my files installed. There are to different kinds of files: The Installation files and the user files. The path can vary depending on your settings. The ones stated below are EA standard. User file directory. This is the folder where the games save your individual game data. You should backup these folders (and all subfolders) regularly.
Superman secret files and origins 2005 cbre. It also includes some very nice interior art from Fernando Dagnino on a Kara Zor-El and Thara Ak-Var adventure. Split between a time when the two damsels were younger and the time immediately following the death of Kara/Supergirl's father, Dagnino's art is well suited and strong. That said, this issue sports a nice-looking, extremely busy cover from Aaron Lopresti. In between the stories -- and the reason fans will enjoy this book -- are profile pages of the major players in the Superman family of titles as well as maps of New Krypton and Metropolis. The tale set on Old Krypton is insightful and well drawn.

Do you have Resource.cfg to go in there? - edited November 2011what do you mean by that? I thought you put rar files that can't be opened in the mod folder for them to show up in the game.
- edited November 2011I would take a look at this thread

Thats what it looks like in the example below this which is what I have. Location: DocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3ModsPackages
If its not than I'm just going to stop trying/asking cause anything else is going to be to confusing and I don't want to have to download anything special. - edited November 2011So do you make a package file inside the mod folder and put the rar files int he package file? That looks correct. Ir really is very simple. The only other application you must have is something like (WinRAR, WinZip, 7Zip, etc.), that will extract the contents of a (.rar) or (.zip) file. Those files have been compressed and you need software that will decompress them.Providing tech & mod support on both the US and ANZ forums! ▬ At my age, competence is a turn on! (©¿©)

Nothing is showing up in the game after I've extracted the rar files into the package folder. Unless not all rar files work. The rar files that I am trying to get to show up are from raonjena. Do their files not work or something.
- edited November 2011I do not know that site so I haven't downloaded from there. (.rar) files are not placed in the Packages folder only (.package) files.Providing tech & mod support on both the US and ANZ forums! ▬ At my age, competence is a turn on! (©¿©)

Resource.cfg should be in your mods folder. You can find it at Mod the Sims or just googling. - edited November 20110

Mod the sims has a great article on that!
Open the archive file with 7zip or winzip. - edited November 2011Most when I right click on them and go 7-Zip open archive will turn into a package file but alot don't thats my problem.
- edited November 2011I found the TS3 Install Helper Monkey thats suppose to open rar files some how but when I open a rar file through 7-zip and get the folder that its in the file shows up as the monkey which is what its suppose to do but when I double click on it I get an error message saying theres no frame work. So I went and got the monkey bars and everything at mod the sims other than houses come in a rar file and can't be opened. Should I just give up cause every thing I do/try even following directions/info thats given for the different stuff doesn't work?
