Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouchpermalink
the moment I saw Hyobu, he fitted right into the league of extremely evil bishounen Lelouch and Raitou. and he got his very own Suzaku too! confident, arrogant and style. is he really the good guy? a feeling of excitement and terror. supernatural eye powers. rebels. Both Geass and this brand new ESP series have it all!
In both series, the main protagonist plays the role of a seemingly anti-hero. They have similar personalities and intellect as well as their own ambitions. Although presented differently, both series features a sort of superpower theme. As thus, expect some battles and action. Both series also adapts a similar feeling.
The Unlimited-Hyoubu Kyousuke and Code Geass are pretty similar in terms of the main protagonists. Both are scheming materminds, with a rebellious outlook on many things. I was suprised actually to find a character similar to Lelouche. The settings are completely different, as one is in a regular city, with most of the series taking place in a high school, and the other is a city that is pretty much war-torn, with prisons and testing facilities of all sorts. Both the art and the concept of both are highly interesting for any of you who like to watch characters' schemes and plots unfold.
The main heroes are alike: they're both more bad guys than normal heroes. Everything in these series is ambiguous - no ideal heroes or fiends. You can also see a lot of politics in both anime.
Only in the darkness can they judge the nature of your crime.. Both main theme is rebellion against tyranny. Many people raise ideal for that, and fight. Lelouch and Hyoubu are very similar characters. In a word, they're dark hero. For their purpose, pursue any means. And they have unique powers (Lelouch has GEASS, Hyoubu has UNLIMITED). Interesting settings. In addition, Suzaku and Andy also similar characters and position. I can't tell them in detail, but really good personalities. Outstanding visuals and music. Especially TUHK. Voice acting also surprisingly wonderful. Both atmospheres are quite serious and dark. You can't take their eyes off various development. Code Geass is more mature and savage. Mixture of psychological warfare and Mecha battle. Well done them. TUHK is spin-off of original series though, no problem if you don't watch that. If you love anime like Code Geass, and want to know moral definition, check it out. Unbelievably underrated.
I got the same feeling while watching both series. Main characters are similar and they are both fighting against the whole world. Hyoubu even has his own Suzaku. If you are searching for something similar to Geass this anime is the closest it gets from what I've watched.
Both MC are smart and have superpower and use it to fulfill his own ideal but can use under limited control. They both appear to have similar vindictive nature.
The main characters are nearly identical personality-wise, and they both fight against their oppressors. There's even a rival character in The Unlimited that closely resembles Suzaku personality AND appearance-wise (Andy is cooler though ). The main character has a group of terrorists he uses to combat his enemies.
Code:Breakerpermalink
In both series, there's the theme of superpower in a world that has both criminals and those who stops them. The main protagonist from both series carries out tasks with their group in such a world. Both series' main protagonist are cold, powerful, independent, and sometimes sarcastic. Both series features action, drama, some comedy, and has a mysterious like background surrounding the show especially in regards to the powers used by various characters.
From what I've watched in The Unlimited, I'd say both The unlimited and code breaker include a series of people that have mysterious powers. The difference is that Code Breaker's organization works for the government, while The Unlimited's organization works against the goverment. Both series are good to watch.
If you Liked Code:Breaker, You'll definately Like Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited - Hyubu Kyousuke. First of all, Both the animes have, Some people born with special abilities, In C:B the Code:Breakers, in The Unlimited, The espers. Is it really similiar. The Main Characters kinda feels the same, They're both calm, Powerful, With a little Evil side aswell. I really think Ogami and Hyoubu are similar. So If you liked Code:Breaker, Some special ability user group killing people for 'Justice'(of some sorts). You will definately like The Unlimited, A group of Special ability users, willing to kill people for the sake of 'Espers' (Ability Users). Anyways, I highly Recommend watching one if you watched the other, You won't regret it. :) Thank you.
The same situation where the protagonist have special powers and that there is one of them who has the capacity to neutralize another ones power, the differences is that the group of individuals with special powers in one anime are up against society, while the other group were sanctioned by the gov't.
The protagonist have special powers and that there is one of them who has the capacity to neutralize another ones power and both give the same aura in my opinion
Jormungandpermalink
Villainous main character who is the mastermind of a group of dangerous individuals. Both Koko and Hyoubu always have a sinister look about them.
While not essentially sharing the same premise or featuring characters with supernatural abilities in Jormungand, I find both of these series somewhat similar. Jormungand and Unlimited both takes place in a world where there is crime, discrimination, and where those who have power are the rulers of their worlds. Both series features a group where viewers gets to see their every day lives and what they do. From most of the episodes, their work is often dangerous and puts their lives at risk especially the main protagonist. I also find the main protagonists from both series similar in a few ways: Both series' main protagonist has a sarcastic personality, often confident, cunning, and plans ahead, and has similar colored hair. They lead their group on dangerous tasks that requires teamwork, effort, and coordination to ensure success. Both series also features plenty of action, drama, and bits of comedy along with emotional moments. The main male protagonist from both series (Kyousuke and Jonah) also has darker pasts.
They are quite similar, except for the pyshic in ZKC. I'd say watch both ^^
When watching Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited, I felt constantly reminded of Jormungand. The main protagonists, Koko and Kyousuke, are very similar in their looks and their personalities. They both are charismatic and enigmatic, gathering other people around them. While The Unlimited is about people with special abilities (espers) fighting for their rights in the underground, Jormungand is about a mafia-like arms dealers. However, both criminal organizations and their leaders Kyousuke and Koko dream of a better world. Jormungand has a more mature cast of characters and a more serious setting, while The Unlimited has, while still being dark, an overarching storyline, more lighthearted moments and in my opinion more likeable characters. I believe that if you enjoyed one of the two, you'll enjoy the other as well.
Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakushapermalink
The existence of espers and beings with supernatural abilities are prominent in both of these series. In fact, some of these individuals are considered dangerous to society. The main character in both series have similar personalities in being calculating, independent, and often does things on his own. He does have a partner though who aids him with various goals. Both series has action, drama, and a mysterious background to them. In addition, they have a similar mood to them involving organizations.
Everything about this anime reminded me of Darker Than Black. Basically the Esparos reminded me of contractors, they both have special powers and use them against normals people or work with them. Both great anime definitely worth watching. If you like one, you'll like the other too!
A similar concept of special individuals endowed with supernatural power acting out against discriminating society. Both are action filled and both have an investigation element. And of course a mysterious young medium girl.
-Both anime has a group of humans with special power and they are detested by regular humans -both anime is mainly about a criminal-type organization that has people with that special power. They work behind the scene of various criminal cases in the country. Except, the group in DTB are not well-known like P.A.N.D.R.A in Unlimited Hyoubu Kyousuke.
Toaru Majutsu no Indexpermalink
One of the main things that makes them similar is a whole super power thing. In both series we have a girl who can teleportate and a guy who can nullify any of those attacks.
In a way, both of these series reminds me of one and the other. Both series features the theme of espers who inherits supernatural abilities in a city like setting. There seems to be drama, action, and some comedy presented in both series. Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited - Hyoubu Kyousuke has a more serious feeling with Index maintains more of a lighthearted atmosphere. However, both series explores the idea of espers and their powers. Both series also has a super power like theme.
TMnI is about magicians & espers, but ZKC is only about espers that often fight against each others The white haired badass had lolita compl-.. oops I mean a loli near them xD And a boy who could nullified other ESPers powers The stories not centered in one main character Shounen full of action & supernatural elements Oh, Index's stories is included in Railgun too :) Well, in Railgun there's no magicians Well doesn't matter which one you like. But ZKC & Toaru series is so similiar in many ways I highly recommended ZKC for Toaru fans and Toaru for ZKC fans Just try 3-4 episodes, and you won't stop from watching one of these series :)
Both anime series involve Espers with unique abilities, and both main characters have the same ability which is the power to repel/negate the abilities of other Espers.
Towa no Quon 1: Utakata no Kabenpermalink
Both main characters are near indestructible and trying to protect others like themslves from the normal humans who fear and hunt them.
Both are dramatic; Both got really 'hard to kill' main characters that have been betrayed in the past (--> epicness); Both got action; Quon got nice ost (I'd say Quon a little more overall quality ;) )
- The main protagonist in both these series are quite similar because they both believe in helping other people who have special abilities. - Both series include government sectors trying to hunt down the people with special abilities. - The main protagonists in both these series have been alive for quite some time as well.
Kpermalink
Similarities: Both involves guys with special powers. Both involves guys with special powers who dukes out with other guys with special powers. Dissimilarities: One anime is set in a world where the is ruled by kings, while the other anime is set in a world where espers are discriminated.
The two main characters are similar, although they both hold slightly different roles. In Hyoubu the main character serves, in K the main character leads. They are both based on supernatural happenings, also both of them considering graphics and storyline are gripping, thrilling and overall brilliant.
The Unlimited and K give very similar feelings. Both have powerful protagonists (who may be a bit over-powered at times) and center around characters who are at one point or another involved in a gang-like fight. They also have very similar flashback scenes, which both seem to revolve around a WWII-type era. Both shorter, and mix military with ESP (or esp-like abilities).
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalrypermalink
Turn on, light up our lives once again. Join with us and create a new world. Both have surprisingly great visuals. You can't take your eyes off many scenes. Especially battle. Really intense and fast. Moreover, presentation techniques are well done. Effects also quite good. Staff know animation very well. Wonderful. Hyoubu's combat power is almost same with Ikki. They're too strong characters. No one can stop them..if not during each story. They have important person to protect. Yuugiri and Stella in each shows. So set them, soul on fire. Hyoubu and Ikki unleash full power. Both whole characters are likable. Stella is such a cool warrior. Ikki and Stella's relationship is similar to Hyoubu and Andy. Atmospheres are relatively serious. TUHK is emphasized it. Very thrilling and emotional. The same goes for Rakudai Kishi. OP animation is awesome. Both have various type. Get change each time. In terms of songs, I prefer TUHK because this show is cooler. Rakudai Kishi storytelling is simple. So TUHK plot is better, but both are easy to understand. And interesting. Both are part of my favorite shows. I love everything of both so much. Definitely you should watch both of them.
Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited is about a psychic terrorist group. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is about a battle magic training school and harem. So what can be similar between these two seemingly different shows? - The underlying theme in both shows is 'us against the world'. Despite their strong abilities, the MCs are shunned by the majority of society. How will they fight for their acknowledgement? - MCs have the support of a few close friends. Watch how they go through difficult challenges with friendship and teamwork. - MCs can only use their full power for short periods at once. How will they work within their limitations?
X-Menpermalink
Very similar powers and theme: This is for both Zettai Karen Children series and The Unlimited Hyoubu Kyousuke series - We have an organization/ group similar to Professor X School for Mutants---ZKC-BABEL who want to create a world where Espers and Normals can coesist. Similar to Mutants and Humans in X-Men. Here they train Espers to use their powers for good while there are evil people who use them too. Another organization/ group similar to Magneto. In ZKC/Kyousuke is called PANDRA. PANDRA wants to recruit Esper who are being hated by humans and want to give them freedom. A place for them to use their powers without being feared or killed. But on the upside, PANDRA/Magneto wants to start a war with Esper/Mutants---Normals/Non-Mutants.

Zetmanpermalink
pretty much the same premise. Some kids develop supernatural powers and theres a society trying to eliminate/capture or use them for their own benefit. Zetman does it better though.
Anime with the main character very strong and powerful, if you like.
Tokyo Ghoul √Apermalink
Humans vs. ESPs has got same vibe as Humans vs. Ghouls. MCs try to save mistreated people. Both are quite op with Zettai MC being stronger. Both are quite emotionless on outside but are kind and have desire to protect in their heart. Kaneki joins and Zettai MC creates organization to protect Ghouls / ESP.
Tokyo Ghoulpermalink
In both worlds supernatural beings are being discriminated against. MC is trying to save mistreated by humans, although in Zettai Karen Children MC is not afraid to use force. You get the same feeling with Humans vs. Ghouls as with Humans vs. ESPs.
Guilty Crownpermalink
I'm only on episode 5 of Guilty Crown, but so far this is what i can tell from it: Both main characters join a 'criminal group' but both criminal groups turn out to be good. Both criminal groups adore their leader. Both main characters were tested and accepted into the group.
Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Geminipermalink
The feeling of the series is very similiar : 'Dark'. (Also to the main series 'Darker than Black' is very similiar to The unlimited) And of course both animes are about special powers, like ESP. The main characters are neither good nor bad people - kinda in the 'gray' zone, thats what makes the character developement interesting. And while Hyobu tries his best to save Yuugiri, and fulfill her wishes, Hei travels with Suou on his journey and is kinda a mentor to her.
Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?permalink
In terms of a main character being overpowered and badass these two match in a ton of ways. Other than that I can't say the stories are similar other than they each a somewhat of a community in which they are trying to protect/fight for.
Hamatora The Animationpermalink
-Both animes are quite action heavy -both anime have a somewhat serious tone -both have quite dark backgrounds -both main male characters are probably the strongest in their respective universes (though has to face some tough fights in the anime) If you like zettai karen children: unlimited you should check out hamatora as they both have similar feels. And for the following reasons listed above hamatora will most likely give a feel similar to zettai karen children. Though i would say that zettai karen children is a bit darker
Mob Psycho 100permalink
Both have espers who are extremely powerful. One is about ghosts and they both show how people aren't comfortable with esper powers.
Toaru Kagaku no Acceleratorpermalink
They both revolve around the most powerful ESPer in their world. I thought they were in the same world at first.
Bungou Stray Dogs 2nd Seasonpermalink
Both shows have a tight knit family of friends who have to fight to survive as part of an agency of sorts. Both shows have esper and supernatural elements and have a perfect mix of darkness, sarcasm, and lighter humor. Both shows are relatively short, but have interesting stories that are occasionally shrouded in mystery, and both shows focus on character development by way of flashbacks and history. The second season of Bungo, which is fairly highly regarded, actually reminded me a lot of The Unlimited, which came out a few years before, but is criminally under rated and largely forgotten. If you liked Bungo, but wished it was less of a Shounen fighter and more story based, then The Unlimited is for you.
Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Yuna: Shin'en no Fairypermalink
They both are the most dramatic and darkest in their series. Heck even for the cute girls as well. Except GODY: The Abyssal Fairy doesn't takes it's self too seriously and the violence is mild While ZKC: The Unlimited is a lot more violent and has puddles of blood. GODY: The Abyssal Fairy is less edgier than ZKC: The Unlimited.
Magi: Sinbad no Bouken (TV)permalink
Both very op main characters. Both are fighting for a purpose.
Charlottepermalink
First, let's examine the similarities: - Small communities of users with superhuman abilities being targeted by organizations. - MCs are OP, probably the strongest within their groups. - MCs have the emotional support and teamwork from a close group of comrades. Despite sharing similar themes, both shows have very different initial tones. Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited starts off with a bang, showing a psychic terrorist group raiding facilities across the world. Charlotte starts off on a gentler note, showing how school children use their special abilities across daily life in hilarious ways. The contrast makes both series complement each other in refreshing ways.
Kaze no Stigmapermalink
-Both main character are overpowered. -Both anime have 'magic powers' -Both anime have people who can be divided in two categories: normal people, and people with 'magic powers' (Esper)
Night Head Genesispermalink
Both involve people with psychic abilities who are hated and persecuted by normal people.
Youjo Senkipermalink
Both are stories of a company build up with people with superpowers in fictional versions of real life world wars. -Also, both have ridiculously strong protagonists from the start.
Shinsekai yoripermalink
Both have unrestrained violence, beings with superpowers and ones without, and an overall tone that is a mixture of hope and fear for the future of humankind.
E's Otherwisepermalink
Both share similarity in that people born with esper powers are feared and hated by non-espers.
Tokyo ESPpermalink
* ESP power * fight between good and bad espers * two leading 'races' in universe: normal people and espers
Noragamipermalink
Lets say I just had a similar feeling while watching both anime Both have humour and a something dark in it, though zettai karen is a bit darker Both main characters have special powers Both have someone who is new to the situation and doesn't except it easily (Noragami - Yukine, Zettai - Andy) And both are just awesome
Karnevalpermalink
Similarities: Both have the same character's with special abilities. Both have the same kind of genres Both involves characters who fight against evil. Dissimilarities: In one anime the characters fought against people who either wants to manipulate them or destroy them, while the other anime, the characters fight against evil. One has a particular character who can dispel the powers of another character, while the other one hasn't.
Solty Reipermalink
While not necessarily following the same premise, both of these series adapts a supernatural/super power theme that comes into play many times in each episode. The main male protagonist from both series is a calculating individual who is independent, badass, and somewhat cold towards others. Yet, he does care quite a bit of his comrades as well as the people he works for. Both series has action, drama, some comedy, and also some emotional moments. Both series' main character also has a troubled past that seemingly made them the person they are as of today.
Speed Grapherpermalink
In both series, there is a superpower theme related to individuals with supernatural abilities. The setting of both series also have a similar feeling in a city where there is crime, hungry power individuals, and organizations with dark ambitions. The main female characters from the series also has their own powers which they use to help with various tasks. Both series contains action, drama, and a mysterious like background as well.

Both series' main protagonist are powerful espers who has perfected their powers for their own use. Both series features a super power like theme but at the same time has some lighthearted backgrounds. The series follows a group of espers and what they do in their every day lives. Both series has a lot of drama, action, and some comedy.
Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsupermalink
Both have special people with powers that are targeted by normal people.
Black Lagoonpermalink
At first glance, I thought these two series weren't too similar. However, at many instances, I see a lot more similarities than one may imagine. The main characters from both series are similar in terms of personalities. They are part of a group who often undertakes dangerous tasks in a city of crime, prejudice, and other cases involving dangerous individuals. The setting is similar with that city background with a crude outlook on life. However, the main characters from both series are used to it and gets their jobs done well. This is usually the result of teamwork and coordination. If you like action, drama, and some good old ass kicking, then these two series are worth a shot.
Captain Herlockpermalink
When I was watching Captain Harlock I found myself thinking that it was similar to the Unlimited. Some plot points and actions the characters take reflect each other in both series. The setting and overall story is different, but both are action-oriented and enjoyable to watch.
